Planned to go over Green Heights Mall for the Urban Roots 2009.
Darrel mentioned that there’s the Hilux Roadshow. So, our first stop is at the Roadshow. Met Evey and Darrel there. Man.. What a dreadly hot afternoon to begin with. Can feel the heat going all the way into my spine! Now I know how BBQ porky feels like. It’s seriously way too hot and so I didn’t snap much.

Hilux Roadshow @ 101 Avenue

The White Hilux
Reminds me of CKY. Loool.. I wonder where and how he is. Been ages since we last had a proper gathering.
After speaking with one of the Toyota representatives and rates for Toyota Vios, we left and headed over to Green Heights Mall. The bazaar takes place in front of the mall at the parking lots. There are approximately 20 stalls under the big tent.

Urban Roots 2009

Traditional Weaving
Arghh.. I forgotten the term they used for this cloth making. Help?

Handicrafts

Traditional costume - made from weaved clothes

Coconut shoots

Tuak
Homemade liquor – Tuak, rice liquor. Checkout the bottles used to store the Tuak.
HIGHLIGHTED ITEM:

Sago Worms
I wonder why these sago worms look so dark and not the type that we normally see at Sunday Market which is white and cute. Oh, I took a video of these little creatures. So gelik!!
Would you eat this alive??
I guess this would be the fear factor challenge happening on Day 2. Be sure to catch Day 2 of Urban Roots 2009. The market starts at 11am and the schedule for programs can be seen here.
Well, that’s all I have for the first day of Urban Roots 2009 at Green Heights.
