Since the opening of KLIA2, everyone has been talking about the new airport and question whether it’s an airport or a shopping mall. Simply because you can almost buy anything you need in a shopping mall here in the airport! Best part is that the pricetags are the same, even though they are sold in the airport. There are so much more eateries than KLIA1 and has more to see and time flies easily while waiting to board you’re plane.
The new Tune Hotel KLIA2 is as highly anticipated as the KLIA2 airport itself. In celebration to the opening of Tune Hotel KLIA2 , Tune Hotel invited guests and media from all channels to a Pajama Party. Thanks to Tune Hotel for the privilege and honour to experience the new Tune Hotel. #RoomerHasIt
The new Tune Hotel has a new fresh look with modern interior design and powerful color combinations of black , red and white. The lobby is spacious and bright with its high glass windows. To add to the guest experience and comfort, the hotel’s spacious lobby features a cool, casual seating lounge with free wifi and an expansive open-air courtyard lounge, overlooked by a 24-hours restaurant and beverage centre. For guests with further transportation needs, the hotel includes a transport counter for overland transport needs and for flights.
There are Flight Information Display Screen for guests to refer to their flights and also AirAsia check-in kiosk which allows guests to check-in to their flight before heading to the airport. So much convenience!
Tune Hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to the airport and it has covered walkway.
The new Tune Hotel room features a modern-style interior setting with a clean and comfy double bed, writing table, luggage platform and a 32-inch flat screen LED TV.
The room – compared to the ones in LCCT, the new Tune Hotel room is more spacious and includes more amenities. There’s no need to top up few ringgits for additional items you need in the room anymore.
Unlike the other Tune Hotels, the room rates include in-room electronic safe, ceiling fan and air conditioning, hair dryer, clean towels, toiletries, TV, free WiFi and multiple powerpoints using power plug Type G which is a 3 pins plug (voltage: 230/240 volts -50h).E
Shampoo, soap and extra toilet roll are provided in the bathroom
Hangout in the room with my partner and nanny before heading down for the Pajama Party.
The Pajama Party was held at the open-air courtyard lounge and the crowd started to build up as we arrive. There were many colorfu and comfy beanbags for guests.
Ten individual winners of the Tune Hotels’ #RoomerHasIt Facebook campaign were able to invite family and friends to enjoy a further 10 complimentary double rooms for a sleepover at Tune Hotel klia2 and join in for the celebration in their sleeping garb.
International journalists and bloggers from Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia and Taiwan were also flown in courtesy of AirAsia and AirAsia X. The event was also made possible by partner-sponsors including Tune Talk Mobile Prepaid, the AirAsia BIG Loyalty Programme and Doof The World Sdn Bhd.
The stage ready for the performers to take over the crowd off their feet.
There’s also a Caricature booth for guests to get their caricature drawn by local artists. I got mine done and somehow it looks more like his admiree than myself. LOL
There were lots of fun activities and prizes to be won during the Pyjama Party. Great performances by local artists to keep us entertained and Mark Lankester, Group CEO of Tune Hotels made an appearance and shared with us more about Tune Hotel KLIA2.
Group CEO of Tune Hotels Mark Lankester said: “We are thrilled with the opening of Tune Hotel klia2 which has already received an overwhelming response and very strong forward bookings from travellers around the region. Through the #RoomerHasIt social media campaign, we wanted to introduce and create further awareness of our latest design and fit-out to previous guests as well as the fantastic facilities at klia2, the world’s largest purpose-built airport for low cost carriers. There’s no better way to do that than have them immersed in the hotel itself.”
On top of that, he said, guests at Tune Hotel klia2 enjoy great connectivity to KL city and its surrounding suburbs as the klia2 Terminal boasts not only bus and taxi services but also the Express Rail Link (ERL) train service that connects to and from Kuala Lumpur Sentral. For guests arriving at or departing from the KLIA Main Terminal, they can make use of the scheduled shuttle service via the ERL that costs just RM2 one way and stroll over to the hotel via its covered link bridge.
There were so much food and drinks and even popcorn for us to snack on!
The biggest highlight of the Pyjama Party was best dressed of course. The prize was a great catch – a pair of tickets to Melbourne for 5 days 4 nights!! Hence, everyone went all out dressing up their best in their PJs.
There were a few ongoing contest during the party – BINGO, Instagram contest, etc..
One of the contest which most people participated was the Instagram contest. Every pictures uploaded to Instagram with the hashtag #RoomerHasIt entitles an entry to the contest PLUS a printout of the photo. The prize for the contest was a pair of flight tickets to Hangzhou, China.
TripAdvisor’s Mascot made an appearance at the Pyjama Party. Here’s cheeky Thanis taking picha with the mascot while giving a kick.
One of the goodies in the goodie bag was His/Her toiletries kit by TripAdvisor. Very cute and compact.
As it gets darker, the lounge felt cooler but with so much running, jumping, laughing and shouting, we were creating more heat than ever. It was a great party with so many familiar faces.
So much fun and so much laughter. Wish everyday is as good as this.
Thank you, Tune Hotel KLIA2 for the night and fun-filled ‘Pyjama Party’. It was a well spent weekend and truly enjoyed myself at the party and the hotel. Truly great experience staying overnight and I had a really good sleep. It was great catching up with blogger friends and media whom I’ve yet to see for a long time. Thank you for the great memories!
