The Fusion Cafe

The Fusion Cafe

The Fusion Cafe is a new cafe in town and currently my favourite place for my dosage of 3 layer pork cravings. Years back, the cafe was known as Red Tea House and years later, they changed management to some stir fry cafe and today,  it is The Fusion Cafe. The Fusion Cafe is located in Jalan Song Thian Cheok, just somewhere near MAS building.

Parking is convenient during the evening. It’s easy to pop here after work or perhaps after a game of cheeky bingo with your friends. During the day, to get a parking slot in the city centre will depend on your luck, unless you park in Taman Kereta or in Tun Jugah’s basement parking.

This is how The Fusion Cafe’s building looks like from the parking outside MAS office.

The Fusion Cafe's Business Hours

The Fusion Cafe operates 14 hours daily (10am – 12 midnight) and closes on every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the Month.

Interior

Interior of The Fusion Cafe

The Fusion Cafe is a nice place to chill out,  gossiping chit chatting, catching up with friends, etc. The place is air-conditioned and complimented with ceiling fans, whilst the doors are always open. Hence, the place is never too hot nor too cold, just cooling.

Here’s a slideshow of the cafe:

The wall is painted soft pink and decorated with wall stickers. Very simple yet unique and creative. I like the one with the girl walking with the dog. (Can I bring home the poodle?) hehehe

Well, I was at The Fusion Cafe with Kevin, Jess and  Albert (aka AhBird) for dinner. Thanks to Sharon for the great treat :) We enjoyed the food and drinks lots.

I’m impressed with their menu. There are varieties of drinks to choose from. From milk tea (recipe brought down from Red Tea House) to fruit juice  to iced tea  to beer. And of course,  they have their very own created special fruit punch:

#69 Paradise @ RM4.50

Paradise is #69 in the menu. It is a mixture of Lemon juice, soda and fresh strawberries. It is a refreshing and cooling drink, with a tinge of taste.

#69 Paradise

Paradise is one of The Fusion Cafe’s popular drink. Most of their customers order this.

notti flash light

This is just a notti and random shot.

Real fresh strawberry. No cheat one.

Sweet strawberry

#71 Love Elixir @ RM5

Love Elixir is #71 in the menu. It is a mixture of Watermelon juice and lychee.

Do you see anything at the bottom?

Spot the lychee

Canned lychee

As elixir of love as its name, it is sweet and lovely (provided that you love watermelon and lychee).

#68 Soda Blackcurrant Lemon @ RM4.00

Soda Blackcurrant Lemon is #68 in the menu. It is a mixture of soda and blackcurrant syrup (I presume it is Ribena) and topped with a few slices of lemon.

something is glowing inside

Well, it is a simple and pretty ordinary drink, but familiar to those who love Ribena sprite :P

Apart from all the icy and sweet drinks, they have nice healthy and unique tea.

Special tea

Unlike other cafes which serve Early Grey Tea, English Tea, Boh tea, Lipton tea, etc tea bag, here in The Fusion Cafe, you get to taste a variety of hot healthy  flower tea.

Plum Flower Tea @ RM5

The Plum Flower Tea is a mixture of Plum, red jujube, longan, hawthorn, licorice, mysotis and marigold. Don’t look at me, I have no idea what they are except for Plum. The plum is the round item at the bottom of the teapot filter, whilst the tea is at the top.

Not tea leaves

Who said tea must be in the form of tea leaves?

Butter Chicken Rice

Butter Chicken Rice @ RM5.50

The butter chicken rice is not bad. The thick sauce is butterish and sweet. Goes well with the hot steamy rice.

piglet figured plate

served in a cute plate. Awww

toothpicky tail

But too bad the piggie lack of its tail and AhBird made him a stiff tail by using a toothpick. lol

Fruit Salad

Fruit Salad @ RM5

The Fruit Salad consists of green apple, watermelon, lychee, pineapple and raisins with generous salad dressing.

this is green apple & raisin

The fruit salad is not bad. That night, I learnt that AhBird and Kevin actually prefer veggie salad! That’s something new. hekhek..

Fried 3 Layer Pork Meat (recommended)

Fried 3 Layer Pork Meat @ RM10

#1 Succulent and juicy porkie

succulent & juicy porkie

#2 FATTY

fat. not lean.

#3 chewable

chewable

The porkie is cut into thick slices for a chewable sensation.

#4 better than satay

#5 Affordable

#6 Condiment that compliments

delicious condiment

The porkie is served with fresh crunchy cucumber and sambal belacan. The sambal belacan is sedap lagi enak (delicious condiment: chili based sauce with belacan) but not spicy enough for me.

Fried Chicken Wings

The chicken wings are also recommended.

4 pieces of Fried Chicken Wings @ RM10

Truth to be told, the fried chicken wings are not very oily and it’s sweet and juicy. Goes damn well with the sambal belacan.

you must try this

You must try the chicken wings because AhBird said so. He labeled the chicken wings here as the best chicken in Jalan Song Thian Cheok. lol.. Don’t believe me??

AhBird and his comment card

AhBird wrote, “THE Chicken Wing *draws a chicken head* is da’ BEST! #1 in Song Thian Cheok & Malaysia.”

a picha with AhBird and his comment card

Took a picha with AhBird and his comment card because he wrote “Albert #1 was here! with ANNNA.NET on 18/05/10″ *lamao*

I also got to write a comment card leh.. I wonder if they are going to post it on the wall or not. Anyway, if you happen to be there, spot it for me yah! hekhekhek.. *thick face*
