I’m heading over for lunch today. Unfortunately, the new outlet doesn’t have wifi. Yea, tell me about it.. *shrugs*

Otherwise, I could tweet and Mafia over lunch.

Sometime in August, I received an email from my colleagues from the other department, Congratulating me. I had no idea what it was all about until they told me that I won the lucky draw from Coffee Been. They stumble upon Coffee Bean’s site and saw my name in the July’s lucky draw namelist while doing some  research.

Someone please tell me if the above is the list of names who won the lucky draw OR list of names valid for the lucky draw.

Since the title of the “banner”/”poster” stated July winners, so I ASSUME it’s the list of names who won the lucky draw.

Initially, they would email the winners but I didn’t received any. So, I emailed them and waited and waited, but NO REPLY after many weeks.

When I went to  Coffeebean for coffee, I asked about the lucky draw and how the winners will be informed – they replied EMAIL. So, I told them about my situation and they were “stoned” for a moment. They asked for my number and said that they will check on it for me.

I waited for days and weeks again, yet to no avail.

Long story short, I still haven’t got my lucky prize from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Anyway, I’m going to Coffee Bean for lunch now. After waiting for months, they either forgotten about it or never checked on it. Either way, I’m going with thick skin to ask on the progress of my “lost” prize.

I’m not trying to be a despo here okay.. Since they announced and published the names of the winners on their site (which cannot be found from the Internet anymore), I have the right to claim for it, right?

They should at least email or contact in anyway to keep people from waiting and scratch head and perasan and shiok sendiri here. At least some information on how we could redeem the voucher OR where to print it or something. Right right right?? What sort of impression are they giving har har har?? At least inform people mah..

WTF #1

WTF No. 1

We reached the parking lot at approximately 22:20 but the time printed on the parking ticket was 22:03. We didn’t bother to get it reprint. After all, we are charged based on how long we park (1 hr basis).

WTF #2

Since we arrived early, we went to McDo for some snacks. I had Light Coke, it’s only 1 freaking calory!!!! WTF?!!! SO BEST KAN?? Truly LIGHT. The normal medium sized coke is 153 calories! The taste is the same just 20 times less sweet.

WTF #4

We sat at McDo for half an hour and Datin’s plane still haven’t landed. So, we went to check the schedule. MAS flight is delayed by 25 minutes. According to Datin, the flight got delayed because some idiot who didn’t report himself when they announced his name at the departure hall.  The fella board the plane and sat there quietly while the crew went searching for him. =..= The airline management also blur blur one.

WTF #5

Oldtown White Coffee in KIA

Only saw this when we sat outside McDo munching fries. Didn’t know it’s opened already. =..=||| Nonetheless, I managed to “enjoy” a cup of white coffee while waiting for Datin to land. Separate post for this.

WTF #6

One of Datin’s checked-in luggage never came out. Apparently, it “disappeared” and it’s impossible that someone else took it because Datin eyes very sharp one especially on that item (because she so happy bought the thing she always wanted – Iron Steamer =..=|||). Had to wait for 15-20 freaking minutes for the officer to get into his office to process the paperwork.

WTF #7

Time spent: 2 long hours in the airport, 1 hour snacking in 2 places (McDo & Oldtown) and 1 hour waiting. =..=

For Project 365: Day 251 November 27th, 2009

Wanted to update after my finals on Thursday, but I was too restless to edit pichas. Then, I planned to edit some pichas to update during the weekends, but something came up. Henceforth, updates will resume in December.

Before I hit the sack, I’d like to announce that, “AYAM BAG!!!” (I AM BACK)

The sudden high rise body temperature is no joke. Yes, I have fever, MERDEKA fever. It didn’t just last for one or two days, but throughout the Merdeka weekend. So much for a Merdeka fever, huh?

I have to cancel out every gatherings and activities planned for the weekend. I worry about getting the rest infected. It’s no joke especially with all the outbreak out there nowadays.

Consulted a doctor on Saturday evening. I don’t want to start ranting about the clinic I went. The nurse is super unfriendly and annoyed me to the max even before I consult the doctor. However, if you follow my plurk and twitter, you sorta know what happened.

And in less than 2 minutes, I’m back outside the consultation room. o.O!!

Since then onwards, I have quarantined myself in my own nest (room), equipped with a laptop. Fortunately, I’m able to online from my nest. Thanks to my generous neighbour who used default key for their WIFI. NGEKNGEKNGEK..

Even though I have internet access in my nest, I didn’t have the energy to go online anyway. Only update from time to time on plurk and twitter using my HP to online.

I was out of my nest for 7 hours to attend class. Had to put on a mask throughout the day. My Pakistani lecturer was surprised to see me in the mask and joked that, if he died, I’d have to send his body back to Pakistan. What a bugger.. lol..

While others party with great companies, I party in my nest with pills.

Remember what that time before leaving the consultation room, the doctor (with a very worried and serious expression) said that, if I still have fever on Tuesday (meaning tomorrow), I’ll have to skip work and immediately go back and see him again. That doesn’t sound good. In fact, that would be the beginning of some serious toooooot! So, I hope I’m able to go to work tomorrow. T____T

My faithful hardcore mango tree owner ass-back-neighbour is having a “ritual” – burn dried leaves and branches under the mango tree, so that there’s no “worm” eating their mangoes. A way of keeping parasites away from their fruit. =..=

We have 3 stupid stages of life…

Teen age:

Have Time + Energy but No Money

I miss this stage of life the most. Although we don’t have much money from our allowances, there were not much to worry about apart from homework, school, EXAMS, boyfriends, crushes, friends, etc.. This stage of life is the most memorable one. Miss high school time the most. There were dramas, gossips and good time spent together with friends. And decisions are mostly decided by parents – may be shitty at times, but pretty enjoy it.

If you’re still in school, college or Uni, you’re in this stage.

Working Age:

Have Money + Energy but No Time

I believe and had to believe that I’m in this stage of life already.  Don’t really like it but had to go through it. Decisions making is a big deal in this stage. Made the wrong decision, regret for life.

Barely have  the time to do my favourite things. I work from 9-5 Monday to Friday and sometimes Saturday, classes every evening and weekends. When I have no classes, I’d be spending time at home to rest or hang out with friends.

It is also in this stage, you have double the triple more things to worry than the teen age. Career? Family? Responsibilities? Boyfriend – Fiance – Marriage? Kids? Loans? Credit cards? Future plan? Investments?

If you’re still working and not yet retired, this is where you stand.

Old Age:

Have Time + Money but no Energy

LOL!! If I make good bucks in my working age, I’d travel around the world with my partner. I don’t want to see myseld in the old age sitting at home staring at my garden.

This stage only applicable to those who are retired with grandkids. LOL

So, which stage of life are you at now? And how do you feel about it? Share share laaa..

Whenever I blog about food, I never had the intention to bring the place down. Unless I have a very bad experience such as the Pizza Hut case (which is still unresolved till this day). I am just a person who pays for her own food and feels that I have the right to write my opinions about the food I’ve tasted. If I think there’s room for improvement, I’ll state it out.

Have you ever reach to a point in life whereby you have to make that big decision on which direction to go to?  If you’re not certain, you’ll being going around and around and around the roundabout till you’re sure which way to turn in.

It’s funny, in a way, how a person whom already knew the direction, yet,  stood still uncertain on which way to take OR that the one way (perhaps the only way) is there opening widely for you, yet still looking for another way.

In short, why are we uncertain?

Anyone here experiencing the same direct/indirectly iconic* situation?

*not going to kill my braincells thinking about this for a moment. scratches butt and climbs to bed to Zzz*

On Tuesday, I thought I have evening class but the gold fish brain of mine forgotten that class was replaced on Sunday. *Slaps forehead* So, I had the evening to “enjoy while I still can”. Cooked Spaghetti Bolognese for dinner. Of course, it was superb!

Snapped this before going to class. IpohTown Cafe is opening soon. To date, the signage is up already and they are recruiting waiter/waitresses, bartender, kitchen helper, cashier and etc.. All man power they need to open up. Can’t wait for them to open. By then, I can grab a cup of coffee before attending class. Perhaps even dinner! Also, can supper after class! Fuhh!! Convenient chinz..

Darrel posted on plurk that he’s now a chicken rice seller. At first, we all thought he was just joking. Partnering with Bryan, now I have a new place to go for lunch as it is in the area. The chicken rice is superb, wait till you try the baby kailan!

My third or fourth visit to CoffeeBean in Cold Storage. Never liked it there because they close early at 10pm. The service is incredibly “great“! There were two fellas working there. One of them laughs/giggles/psycho non-stop, overblend the drinks (by the time you get your drink, it’s WATER BLENDED not even ICY!) and it creeps me to see the cakes displayed, looked like there were there for days! You can tell how dry and how “old” they are there by the look of it. o_O!! By the way, that’s Mango CheeseCake. It’s stone hard and only the mid is QUITE moist. They wanted to try it even when I told them that it looked like it has been there for days.

For Project 365: Day 106 July 12, 2009

Paid a visit (make that two) to a new cafe in town, 175° Cafe (formerly Tao) for lunch and dinner on the same day! Love the concept they have. Free Fish Spa and Wifi when dine/chill/hangout in the cafe. We spent hours in the fish pond when each person is entitled to 15 minutes only!

Yesterday, I checked the CIMA site. The CIMA Diet (examinations) will be on the 24th, 25th and 26th November 2009.  FYI, I’m taking all 3 Strategic Level subjects. It’s just 3.5 months away and I need a full month to focus on it as class is still ongoing! Applied for 9 days leave and got rejected. Taking a whole month off would be damn impossible. It’s either this or that.

Friday - Work (9-5)
Saturday - Perhaps free at leisure, perhaps busy revising, perhaps out on appointments
Sunday - Class (9-5)

Wah piang!! So tight man!! SOME SCHEDULE!

The last few months when the course first started (3 classes per week), it felt a bit relax and so and so. This week is the first week of this SOME schedule and I felt like I’m starting to part from my own world already. What more to say that this will be ongoing till October. Finals in November *nervous gila babi* FREEDOM in December!

I want My December!! I really want to sing the song, My December by Linkin Park. Can’t wait for December to come. December December December..

I hope I will still be able to steal some time to update as often as possible AND to be able to complete my Project 365. *crosses fingers*

After a week or two, it finally grew some “hair”. Been watering it twice a day, everyday. Am very happy to see some hair growing there. Teehee..

For Project 365: Day 91 June 26, 2009

Can you feel the bokehness in this picha? Well, the last bokeh picha taken with my baby until I get it back again.

My baby (Canon Ixus 870is) was sent to KL for surgery. I overused the flash during the Breeze Party *blehhh*. The internal parts of the flash was burnt? charcoaled? hangus? broken? but can still take picha with the flash, just the quality of picha not as good. Since it’s still under warranty might as well get it repaired lah..

So, from this day onwards, pichas are taken with Kodak EasyShare Z1285 lent by GenerousKindHearted Darrel during my days without me baby. Thanks Darrel!
