For appetizer, we had Caesar Salad. I still prefer their Garden Salad which contains varieties of lettuces and other gardenish ingredients with its vinaigrette dressing.

We had Mussels in Chilli Cream sauce and Lamb Satay while waiting for our main course.

The lamb satay comes in half a dozen of six sticks.

Rose and I had Spaghetti Aglio Olio. The Aglio Olio is the tastiest Aglio Olio in Kuching for me, so far.

Mr. Ho's Signature Prawn Pasta @ RM19.90

Mr. Ho’s Signature Prawn Pasta is the best spaghetti in Kuching, for me so far. :3

Roast Chicken @ RM13.90

Yien had a whole quarter of chicken on her plate. She couldn’t finish the everything. Big portion you know.

That night, the waitress recommended their dish of the night, Wargyu Beef. But little did we know that it would cost us RM150.00 for it. T_______T

This is the fehmes Sarawak Laksa from Golden Arch. This is the one Sixthseal like a lot. Gotta agree with him lah. The laksa soup is riched with coconut milk!

Some people (the brother) who are not prawn tolerant ordered Laksa Ayam (no prawns, just chicken) wteff.. Since he only wanted chicken for his laksa, the generous laksa taukehnio (lady boss) gave him extra extra beehoon (rice vermicelli). The big fella couldn’t finish the laksa in the end. LOL

As it was a Wednesday (ladies night at Silhouette), we enjoyed our dinner with free house pouring of the night, Gin. There were two types of mixture: Gin Tonic or Gin with Sprite.

Gin Tonic

I ordered Gin with sprite as my first glass and it tasted somewhat terrible to me. Then, I tried marther’s Gin tonic which tasted much much much better. My seconds and onwards was Gin tonic.

Bro didn’t order any liquor that night as he wanted to try out the Italian Ice-cold sodas *roll eyes*

Bro ordered this apple soda which tasted like Baby Borneo the apple flavour ones. fuhhh.. Really brings back the good old time taste! Anyone knows where to buy Baby Borneo? Or has Borneo discontinued that product?

For dinner, we ordered 3 dishes of pasta and pizza:

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio @ RM17

The spaghetti is cooked with olive oil and garlic. I normally toss the spaghetti with lots and lots of Tabasco sauce to give that extra kick *slurps*

Pizza Funghi e Prosciutto @ RM23

The pizza funghi e prosciutto consists of turkey ham, mushrooms, tomato and mozzarella cheese. We love this pizza the most among all they have in Silhouette. Also, I recommend this pizza for you to try!

Pizza A'matriciana @ RM21

Pizza A’matriciana consists of beef bacon, onions, chilli, tomato and mozzarella cheese. This pizza is slightly spicy. I liked it but not bro as he don’t take spicy food.

After our dinner, we continued drinking and hee hee haa haa… Then, we went home. After an hour later, I was back in Silhouette again for second round, and this time with Evey. Then, Ehren dropped by and joined us.

That night we were quite happy so I ordered a round of tequilas. There was an extra shot that Eve doesn’t drink, so CKY sneakily poured into Brandon’s Graveyard. BAHAHAHAHAHAH!! Till today, I don’t think he realised the extra shot in his drink as Graveyard tastes really strong and yucky!

The night before benben left for OZ, which was like 10 days ago, ahlost, yienyien, JF, Stevo and I planned to have yumcha session at Grand Margherita after our work out at Level Up Fitness.

While waiting for ahlost and JF to arrive, Yien, Steve and I went to check out the lounge, and the Wine & Cheese buffet poster (which was ongoing in March 2010 only).

Our initial plan was to try out the newly renovated coffee house. Well, the coffee house isn’t very coffee house-like, as it shares the ala carte menu and buffet there. So, it was not an ideal yumcha spot for us.

We left the premise and stopped by McDonald’s for “dinner” (according to the clock, it should be supper). So much for our blood sweating work out. *mehhh*

Benben met up with us at McDo after his dinner and we changed venue for our yumcha session at Caffe Cino, Hilton.  It was supposed to be a farewell yumcha session, but ended up as a surprise advanced birthday celebration for yours truly.

This is damn funny! They asked me to make a wish. So, as I was making a wish, someone was breathing heavily or so, or that he was trying to blow the candle from the couch thinking that the blow won’t be so powerful to kill the fire on the candle. Anyway, he blew the candle. :L

The black forest cake is superb! It consist of three layers of cake and mousse.  Topped with fresh cream (notfatteningnotfatteningnotfattening). The chocolate wrapping around the cake is actually dark chocolate! Damn nais can! And oh my lovely fav cherries <3 there were so many of them on the cake <3<3<3

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Green Heigths Mall is no longer in operation? Saw the place covered up, and the signage’s gone. Hmmmmmmmmmmm…

Wanted to surprise mum with cupcakes instead of cake. Cupcake’s more cute and practical and less fattening and storage free. If we get a cake, we need to find a place for the cake and etc..

After class last night, I rushed to Green Heights Mall to get some cupcakes from the “Cupcake” store, BUT it was closed! And it was just 9:30 pm only =/ So, ended up going home with donuts.

Nasi Lemak Biasa @ RM3.00

I had the Nasi Lemak Biasa and Ice Nescafe. The nasi lemak’s sambal is spicy! Yum Yum.. But the papadham, after awhile, it’s not crispy anymore. It gets sogy so fast.

Everyone turned up for the gathering. Among them were:

Pazuzu (Alvin), Frankie, Evey, Edwin, and Darrel

Gladys, ahlost, Yien, Steve, TMOT and Gordon

Not in the above pichas are ME (behind the camera), JF (busy taking picha somewhere), Pui Joo and CKY (they left early).

Everyone acted normal like it was our usual gathering. When the clock strikes 11.55pm, Yien and I went to the back to get the cake ready.

The boss was kind enough to participate in our little surprise. When the candles were lit, they switched off the lights and we brought in the cake and everyone sang the birthday song.

Several reasons why we picked the place: it’s nearby, they never tried it and there’s lunch set.

The lunch set is priced from RM8.90 to RM12.90 (I think). The lunch set comes with drinks of your choice (ice lemon tea or ice plum juice) and creamy mushroom soup.

They ran out of Ice Lemon Tea and Ice Sour Plum Juice, so they replaced with Ice Ribena. Maybe I should just order a kiddy meal. -________-|||

Creamy Mushroom Soup

Among all the food we had, the creamy muchroom soup is the most satisfying one. It’s creamy and rich in flavour. Goes very well with the garlic bread.

Crispy and tasty tho slightly burnt garlic bread.

Seriously, I have no idea why almost all the pizza restaurants I’ve been to, they serve super small portion of spaghetti. Just 2 to 3 fork of this, you will next lick the plate.

My 3 cents on the pizzas:

Cent #1 – The pizza crust is crispy but slightly burnt. Generous amount of cheese, very cheesy but toppings very little.

Cent #2 – Thanks to Tabasco sauce I manage to down 4 slices. =X The Hawaiian pizza is not my liking. The pizzas taste pretty tad and needs lotsa improvement – MORE TOPPINGS! kekeke..

Cent #3 – The lunch set pizzas are of the size of a regular pizza from Pizza Hut. Recommended to order a few sets to share with friends or family.

French Fries @ RM3.50

When we wanted to order the french fries, we asked the waiter how big is the portion. He described it like it’s so much that we ordered 2 portions. But turned out to be disappointing “BIG”. This is not so bad as the fries is served with some fresh crispy lettuce and tartar sauce.

The food quality has dropped from my last visit for Aaron’s farewell party. Overall, it was still a pleasant lunch because we had lots of fun and laughter (one of it would be laughing at the expressionless waiter).  *blek*

As for the birthday girl, we made a birthday card with special characteristics on it. Hope she likes it, well, she better likes it. Kakakaka..

Supposedly there was a surprise birthday dinner for Rose tonight, but ahlost found out the day before and plurked that she won’t be able to make it as she has family dinner. Kantoi chin..

Anyway, since I won’t be able to celebrate ahlost’s big day with her, I makan besar (feast) at home for her. LOOOOL!!

We had steamboat at home. Soup base: Tom Yum. YumYum!

Most of the ingredients are bought from Ta Kiong, tHe Spring right after work. lol..

The tom yum base was bough at RM11.90 (675g). Can cook/steamboat for about 8-10 times.

Special offers now. Only RM0.99 per packet.

Each packet is equivalent to a bowl for a person.

Mum bought 1kg of bacon and till today, only left 5 slices. *sedih*

Bacons sold in KL are waaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper than the ones we can get from here.

The chicken breast was cut into little slices.

Bought frozen prawns from Ta Kiong as well.

And also the mussels. They are affordable and they are very sweet!

Wombok was bought from Ta Kiong too. Can get pretty fresh veggies from Ta Kiong.

Tom yum and yellow noodle are the bomb!! You should try this some day.
