Sugarism at The Spring Bazaar Part 2

Ever seen cotton candy’s menu?!! The type of cotton candy we normally get are those boring ordinary pink ones. Here’s one stall in the Spring Mooncake Bazaar selling the pink cotton candy. Oh, I took a video on the making of the Pink Cotton Candy.

Then, there’s this booth located just outside Sushi King, opposite SugarBun, will be around till end of the month. They have this one cotton candy menu with at least 10-11 flavours, from Pink Strawberry to Grapas (Grapes) to Which (White) to etc..

Cotton Candy Menu

So many flavours to pick from. I wanted to try Durian. It’s so unusual to have flavoured cotton candies, what more to say DURIAN FLAVOURED COTTON CANDY!! Unfortunately, the flavour was outta stock. Probably due to the raining season, no Durian. haha..

Let me tell you about this candy maker. He is a friendly and sporting fella. We stood in front of his booth for about 5 minutes chatting and joking around with him. To make things even more interesting, we challenged him into making the biggest Cotton Candy. Before he start making, we asked how much the candy would cost. Don’t later he ask for RM50, die how to eat. So huge lei.. He did suggest to make RM5 and using his hands showed us the size. The size he showed was so HUGE like GIANT BIG HUGE, how on earth are we (5 of us) going to finish it. Maybe next time when we have the whole gang around. Then, we requested a RM2 worth of cotton candy.

The video below shows the Green Apple Giant Cotton Candy in process.

Before we were here, the place was kinda cold, quiet and people just walk passed the booths there. As he was “performing”, we were taking pichas and video, and of course noisy, people started to stop by and watch along.

-leeched this picha from Tim again-

The top picha shows the candy maker and the Giant cotton candy he made. The bottom picha is yours truly with the RM2 Cotton Candy.

We took so many pichas, posing and all that with the cotton candy. Then, the candy maker decided to make a hat cotton candy for us.. for FREE! Here’s a video of the witch hat cotton candy in making:

I was pinching on the RM2 cotton candy while video-ing this and thus the shakyness and lousy cameralady at work.

Witch Hat Cotton Candy

So BIG!! And oh, some of the candy got stuck on my hair. Lucky Gladys had supplies of wet tissues. She and Ting helped to “clean” my hair after the heavy camwhoring with the “hat”.

We don’t waste food one. We met a few friends and forced offered them to enjoy the candies with us. We managed to finish 2 Big cotton candies while “pasting” (pacing) around. The sugarism did not stop here.

I was so high that I went across to SugarBun and asked them to make the tallest ice-cream they can. And I got what I wanted but not as tall as expected. To show the world how “tall” my ice-cream was, I took a picha with a random stranger who bought his ice-cream from the same place.

Tall Ice Cream

Thanks to this fella whom I didn’t get his name. The “tall” ice-cream I got for RM2, wasn’t that tall afterall. Just an inch or two taller than the standard ones. Ish… I want like the one in Italy oneeeeeeee… Few feet tall! LoL

I got my ice-cream, Tim and Wombok got themselves some ice-lolli @ RM1 each. This one can be spotted in the Spring Mooncake Bazaar. The stalls will be there till Sunday only.

Ice Pop

The ice-lollies were made from soft drinks. The soft drinks were poured into those steel tubes with a satay stick.  The tubes will sit on ice freezing water. Once the soft drinks are frozen, they are pulled out and sold to:

Sehkia Tim

Kids like Tim. See how kiddish he looked here?

The sugarism at The Spring was uberly HIGH and FUN! Had lotsa fun there and definitely was high from the sugar we had, Dragon Whiskers, 2 huge cotton candies, and ice-cream/ice-lolli. Sugarism occasionally is okay but not everyday, else diagnosed with Diabetes, can cry..

Looking forward to more sugarim on the next festival. Umm.. Pineapple Festival is it?
