Soon Fatt Cafe

One of my favourite place for lunch is Soon Fatt Cafe. This cafe or more likely known as “kopitiam” (coffeeshop) is located in Petanak area. Situated directly opposite Verinice Shop. Looking back, I posted the food for this place before, foochow cuisine, but at that time, I couldn’t remember the name of the shop. Reposting again because I’m missing my favourite dish.

My favourite dish here and the one and only dish I always and never to order is the fried “Zhao Chai Hungan” (Fried big rice vermicelli with preserved vegetables).

Fried zhao chai hungan

Fried Zhao Chai Hungan @ RM4.00

There’s a new vegetarian stall in the cafe and they serve this very special dish called “Lucky Salad Yew Char Kueh”. After eating it, you sure very lucky.

Lucky Fillet

Lucky Salad Yew Char Kueh @ RM1.80 for 2 pieces

Ji lucky yi sia looo (in Jojo Fang’s way – Ah Long Pte)

  • You can try out the “Zhao Chai Hungan” at “Jia Jia Fang” (Coffee shop next to a new opened spa / shop lot located opposite of Four Points Hotel). Their “cha zhu noodles” (yellow noodles with soy sauce) also nice. Enjoy…

I think I tried that before, not sure if that’s the shop I went to.

There’s one “zhao chai hungan” at “Lao Han Jia” (RH Plaza’s Expert), run by a couple. Their “zhao chai hungan” is one of my favourite for supper!

By an old couple, only operate during pm hours? Yeah…if that’s the one, taste good as well. There are too many nice foods in kuching, keep sharing and I will keep trying! But how come our boss never support us by trying??? (for example: pay us more so we can be more ‘brave’ to try out other new)…Haha! Have a nice day!

don’t need to go all the way to Sibu to enjoy foochow food. Kuching has plenty but not as cheap as the ones you get in Sibu tho.
