SEGi College Sarawak Graduation Day 2008
November 23th, 2008, is my graduation day. *dance dance* I’m a graduate. *dance dance* I’ve graduated!! *dance dance*

Here’s the situation, you arrived the graduation hall (on time). Put on your graduation gown and looked great. The college staffs forced make sure all the graduates are seated and briefed them on “how to catwalk on the stage” and “what to do before you get your scroll” and “where to look/smile when you get your scroll” and “etc”.

After the briefing, there were too much some spare time until the VIPs arrived. What do you do during that spare time? If you were me, what would you do?
Now, all you see is people people people around you. Some mingling around, taking pichas here and there, go toilet fix their gown, fix their hat, fix their everything.. Then, you felt the stage calling for you while hundreds of people minding their own business, probably eyed on the stage once in a while. Well, what would you do?
1. Take picha on the stage. Thinking that the stage is all yours. In your mind, “Mine! Mine Mine Mine!!”

2. Take more pichas because in your mind, the stage is Yours Yours Yours

3. When people noticed you taking picha there, they also want. Before you leave the stage, make sure you do your ThinG.

*dance dance*
When the VIPs arrived, the ceremony began with speeches and speeches and speeches. So long the speech. One hour on speeches. Finally after that one hour of lecture, it’s time to graduate. All the graduates lined up before the stage, getting ready to go up when our names were called. When it was my turn, I..

relax laaa

Who knows if I ever get the chance to walk on the stage again. So, stage is “mine” for that 30 seconds. *dance dance* I wonder if anyone was nervous. I was so excited that I can’t remember how to spell nervous.

During that 30 seconds, who knows if anyone is watching you or digging nose or what. But I’m only sure about one thing, and that one thing is TMOT captured nice pichas of me graduating.
It’s the education culture. You’re not a graduate even though you’ve completed your studies. You’re a graduate only when you attend the graduation ceremony. That’s the culture. It’s true. Serious.

While waiting for the staff/crews to arrange the chairs for the group phote, we managed to take picha with the VIP also. *gejeng gejeng* The lady next to me is the guest of honour for the ceremony, YB Datin Hajah Fatimah Abdullah. She’s CM’s assistant. Don’t play play.

After the presentation of graduation scrolls, we had a huge group photo. The group was so huge, I look like an ant.

Throw your flat Harry Porter’s hat as high as possible but make sure you get a hat back. Else you have to pay for something you didn’t purposely throw away or something you didn’t want to leave behind or above you.

Who’s that lucky fella? Also, I heard someone’s head got cut (zhun zhun become Harry Potter liaw laa) from the crystal bits that fell from above. Dangernye.. Lesson learnt. Watch what’s on top of you before throwing anything up.
The group photo ends the graduation ceremony. After that, just take as many pichas as possible with your coursemates, collegemates and tablemates as memories and tag each other in Facebook. Who knows when will you meet again in future.

With Esther and Christine. Went to the same high school as Esther. Coincidentally, we took the same course after Form 5. Met her in one of the diploma semester and we have been tablemates since then. Nicknamed each other Kura, whenever one of us is slow copying notes. Knew Christine through Esther, her cousin.

Aebyn (not his real name, self proclaim one, LOL). He’s my collegemate also a friend of a friend. Small town, everyone knows everyone.
With coursemates.
Must thank my Crocodile (2nd aunty – Er Ee, sounds like er yu the crocodile in Chinese) for making it that day. Also, thanks to all the Ees for the flowers. 2 bouquet somemore, feel so tua pai.
Not forgetting my brother, who didn’t want to attend the ceremony but attended because I threatened to smash his computer if he don’t he’s the man of the house now. He even bought me a graduate Monkey for me. Plus a balloon!! So sweet of him.

But hor, after one day, the balloon nomore floating already. =/

So, what graduate do you think I am? Which course? Which Uni?
All the pichas above are taken by TMOT,

Many thanks for reserving your Sunday morning to take my graduation pichas.
Kam siaaaaaaaaaaa!!
