HORROR!!! Found this 6 months old post in the Draft folder. It never got published even when it’s a completed post!
SCR Express the new eatery (not so new anymore since this post appeared 6 months late) in the Spring.
SCR Express
Located just opposite Kenny Rogers and beside Manhattan Fish Market. Everyone can foresee how affected the two other restaurants will be once this SCR Express operates just a door away from them.
Looking in
The interior is simple and BRIGHT. I like the color combinations of red and orange used here.
Chicken Rice Set
This Chicken Rice set (if I’m not mistaken) is RM5.30, comes with steamed rice, choice of steamed chicken or fried chicken and a glass of drink (syrup drink).
Steamed Chicken - Drumstick
If you prefer drumstick chicken, you’ll have to fork up 50 cents or RM1 more.
Steamed Chicken
Otherwise, just pay the normal price and request for breast meat. I hate steam chicken wings. Always have to remind them for chicken breast meat when I order chicken rice.
Fried Chicken - Drumstick
The fried/roast chicken is not bad, but I still prefer steamed chicken.
Condiments
Yea, there’s free flow of condiments too. 
Damn love the ginger condiments to go with the chicken rice.
French Fries
SCR express serves other types of food apart from just chicken rice. There are also stir fry noodles, side dishes such as fries, fried spring roll, fish something balls, etc..
Iced drinks
Drinks come in fancy shapes of glasses and the Kopi-O Peng is up to my liking! The black and white is Soya bean milk with cincau – not my liking as I don’t take soya bean. The coke is Coca-Cola and tasted like Coca-Cola *lame*

Overall, SCR Express is a nice and affordable place for meals and definitely EXPRESS.

I am also a frequent visitor of the SCR Express @ the spring as it is the nearest eatery fromwhere I work and stay.
Today is the last day I will ever visit that place again. I got a throw up when at the end of my laksa I found a small cockroach in my laksa bowl. What’s worst was my daughter ordered the laksa. when she couldn’t finished it, I took over. So it was like double throw ups for the both of us. She was so hungry after school.
I have taken pictures of the roach in my bowl. I intend to publish it in the local daily.

Thanks for sharing your experience here. I’m very sorry to hear that happened to you. Did you inform the management?
I can totally imagine the trauma you and your daughter are going through now. I hope that the next time you had laksa elsewhere, this image of cockroach will not haunt you. T_____T If it were for me, it’ll take sometime to forget the image!

I’d love to see it and curious to know what SCR would do after they see the publication of the photo, and also if any form of compensation to cover the damages/trauma you and your daughter had to face.

As you experinced about cockroach, my wife and I came to Xpress SCR Spring Kuching to have a simple lunch. Unfortunately,after ate everything and went to cinema for watching movie, my wife told me that she felt uncomfortable inside her stomach. So she rushed to the nearest toilet. She “muntah” everything and “cirit birit”. When we arrived at home, she still complaint about pain inside her stomach.So, the next day I sent her to clinic and doctor confirmed that she got food poisoning.Hope SCR Spring will be more alert about hygiene.

I’m surprised that even after so many years, they still have hygiene problem :O!
