You can now start digging your blog for all the oldies foodie post. BUT, they must be about KUCHING LOCAL FOOD. Definitely 101% no no to chained restaurants (e.g: KFC, McDo, Sugarbun, Pizzahut), franchises (Secret Recipe, Big Apple Donuts, Kenny Rogers, MFM, etc larr), must not be those angmoh restaurant (western cuisine). Aiya.. You think western cuisine is our local specialties meh? Those Kolo Mee, Laksa, Cha Kueh, Kueh Chap, Ngo Bee T’ng, Kin Jio Kueh, etc.. are our best specialties lei.

You can dine with the Elephant I, II, III, you can also take away the Elephant. heehee..

Spaghetti Carbonara @ RM14.90

The grilled chicken on top of the spaghetti is topped with a layer of baked cheese.

The Carbonara is very very creamy and very delicious. The portion is big. You can’t possibly finish this yourself unless you’ve been starving for weeks. Haha..

It’s been awhile since I last dine with the Elephant. Maybe luncheon at the Elephant one day aye?

New Grill in the Block

Yesterday, while I was driving back to work from lunch, I drove along the Padungan street. There, I saw Tao, or more like the old Tao lot. There’s a new signboard on it, THE GRILL.
What happened to Tao? It has such a nice ambience and atmosphere. Such a shame that it’s no longer operating anymore.

Who want to dine with me here?

Delicious Chicken Rice Shop

Posted in Dine with Anna | 1 Comment

There is this coffee shop at Ang Cheng Ho-Petanak area, called “Delicious Chicken Rice Shop”. To get to the shop, just turn into the ‘lorong’ after the Hong Kong Bank - Shell station. Drive in slowly and you will be able to spot the shop on your left. Will draw the map soon.

The chicken rice (RM4.50) is just how the shop is named, Delicious! The sweet tender juicy steamed chicken, plus their yummy belacan and tasty soupy.. and and the fragrance butter rice. Aihh.. Just so delicious.

There’s also the Foochow Red Wine Chicken. For a plate like this (more pieces of chicken, most went to bro’s tummy already), plus a plate of rice costs RM5.50.

It’s a no wonder why the shop is named Delicious CHICKEN RICE Shop. Their  Chow Chai BeeHoon is not SO delicious. The stall selling foochow foodie like Chow Chai BeeHoon, Foochow burger and Tian Piang Ngoo  at RH Plaza’s Expert is way way way tastier and more more more delicious than this one. The chow chai beehoon here is tasteless apart from saltiness. There’s no chow chai taste at all. I guess they put too little in it PLUS the red wine in it no kick one. Next time, come here just stick to the Delicious Chicken Rice.
