I have a strong cravings for sweet and yummy stuffs from time to time and I usually go for chocolates, cheesecakes and ice-cream. At times when I’m stressed out or having a bad mood, these desserts come in handy. Also, no matter how much I stuffed myself (you know stuffing all the good food and feeling all bloated), there’s always room for DESSERTS. And definitely a big room for desserts from NOSH.
I’m a new fan at NOSH. Love their desserts, every single one of them.
Nosh is located along Jalan Telawi 3 (same row as Alexis) and easily spotted especially with its bright orange signboard. It’s too hard to miss it XD Nosh has just turned six months old and since its establishment, it has been packed with dessert lovers. How not when each desserts are ensured to be at top notch.
You’ll never get bored of Nosh and here’s why..
Every month, Nosh comes up with different menu and promotions. They have monthly menu for both savories and special desserts of the month. For May, we get to taste Nosh’s 3 out of 4 special savories which will be available until 31st May 2013.
I simply love the salad. Perfectly cooked potatoes topped with fresh crispy greens and smoked salmon with light and tangy dressing. A pleasant starter. This plate of salad is as good as a meal on its own as the portion is pretty huge and recommended for sharing for 2 to 3 persons.
Pumpkin & Smoked Chicken Risotto @ RM38
I’m not quite a fan of risotto and thanks to Nosh, I’m now a Risotto convert. It was so good, I wished to have it for breakfast everyday.
The Pumpkin and Smoked Chicken Risotto was perfect and the flavours were just right, naturally sweeten from the pumpkin and paired well with smoked chicken. The reason why I love this Risotto is the delicious combination of ingredients used and also because I don’t feel jelak eating it till the very last risotto.
Lamb Gnocchi @ RM38
The Lamb Gnocchi smells absolutely great! Mind you, the lamb ragu contains red wine and served with Nosh’s very own gourmet sweet potato gnocchi. The lamb does not only smells good but tastes good as well with its tender yet succulent lamb cubes and soft chewy gnocchi.
A very filling dish.
As I mentioned earlier, Nosh’s menu changes monthly and because this month marks the 6th monthsary for Nosh, they’re extending their desserts menu for May till June 2013. Also in celebration of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, indulge Nosh’s delectable dessert platters of 10 to choose from:
Choice between any of these two desserts RM19
Choice between any of these three desserts RM29
Choice between any of these four desserts RM39
Choice between any of these five desserts RM43
Earl Grey Crème Brulee
The Earl Grey Creme Brulee is by far one of the best crème brulee I’ve ever tasted. The crème brulee made with distinctive flavours and aromas from the bergamot orange of the earl grey tea, made with the signature caramelised sugar crust, topped with a cornel of whipped crème chantilly and a dark chocolate cigar.
The sweet silky crème brulee infused with earl grey tea is not only for the mouth but also the nose. Fell in love with the aromatic earl grey tea that gives the crème brulee a new flavour and each scoop just made you want more of it. Despite the strong earl grey tea aroma, there’s simply no worries about the bitter end taste as the tea flavour is delicate (tea taste not too strong).
Crème Au Chocolat
The Creme Au Chocolat is made of baked chocolate cream is topped with a unique fruit of the forest mousse and served with a delicate nutty tuile. A perfect match of bittersweet chocolate and tangy fruity mouse.
Coconut Panna Cotta
Looking for something like a tropical sensations that sing in your mouth, try the Coconut Panna Cotta – a fusion creamy delight of coconut cream served with pandan infused palm sugar, topped with a crunchy tuile.

Black Forest Pavlova (contains alcohol)
My favourite among all ten dessert has to be the Black Forest Pavlova. The crispy chocolate meringue is lusciously topped with a rich indulgent chocolate mousse, dark cherries soaked in kirsch (alcohol) and fresh strawberries, served with drops of zingy raspberry coulis. This is the most perfect pavlova I’ve ever tasted and longing for more!
Not only an eye candy. I love how beautiful this is presented and that you get this combination of rich chocolate yet not too sweet at the same time.
Sweet Potato Azuki Gateaux
The Sweet Potato Azuki Gateaux is a Japanese inspired dessert. The delicate green tea flavoured chiffon sponge cake filled with generous sweet potato mousse and rich azuki red beans is unique and to those who are not familiar with such combination would find this dessert weird. However, this dessert has won many hearts for its unique flavours and it is suitable for those who prefer less sweet desserts. This is something new and simply delicious.
Chocolat Orange (contains alcohol)
The Chocolat Orange is a must for chocolate lovers for its rich chocolate cake filled with Grand Marnier flavored chocolate mousse, glazed with dark chocolate and paired with a citrusy orange reduction. This is a sinful indulgence!
Strawberry Cheesecake is NOSH’s signature creamy decadent cheesecake made with French cream cheese, topped with fresh strawberries pistachio nuts, placed on raspberry coulis swirl.
Lemon Peach Tart
A deconstructed take on a tart! The base is made of buttery crumble, while the topping is made of crunchy ginger filo pastry with a light dusting of ground cinnamon. The filling, is none other than succulent cubes of sweet peaches coated with zingy lemon curd.
Walnut Tiramisu (contains alcohol)
At first glance, the Walnut Tiramisu looked like two scoops of ice-cream but actually it’s a deconstructed Tiramisu. It is made of rich chocolate sponge soaked in espresso and fine port wine, and complimented with luscious creamy mascarpone, caramelized walnuts and a generous dusting of dark cocoa powder.
Apple Cinnamon Cake
The Apple Cinnamon Cake is a delicately cinnamon flavoured apple butter cake, served warm with NOSH’s gourmet vanilla bean ice-cream and topped with sliced almonds on a bed of warm crème anglaise and a drizzle of butterscotch sauce.
Latte & Trinity Chocolate
Cakes are best to go with hot beverages, and my take would be NOSH’s Trinity Chocolate which is simply divine! Rich chocolate babeh! Latte on the other hand is just okay (after tasting the hot choc), but seriously, ask for the Trinity Chocolate.
Oh did I mentioned about their homemade ice-cream? Also must haves! Their Green Tea ice-cream is one of the richest and kawest (strongest) green tea flavoured I’ve ever tasted (even beat that super sweet Haagen Daz green tea ice-cream).
