My First Sunday Jogging Experience

Yesterday morning was my very first time waking up very early on a Sunday morning to have a jog in the MBKS park. Thanks to ahlost for the companion, ride and breakfast.

We think that the perimeter of the park is about 500m or more. We started the first round with one round of walking as warm up. On the second round, we started to jog. Half way, I wanted to give up already as I was already huffing and puffing. So tired wei..

Seeing ahlost so enjoying the morning breeze while listening on her mp3 and jogging away, it kinda motivated me to move on and finish that one round.

On the third round, I slowed down and continued by walking. Half way through the round, I started to pick up pace and jog along with ahlost. Going into the forth round, I left ahlost on her run while I went to look for an empty bench to leech stretch my body.

Truth is, in the mid of the third round jog, I had tummy cramps. The pain is excruciating! The total madness for lack of exercising. (perhaps tummy is throwing tantrum because it was HUNGRY)

While ahlost continued on with her fourth round and onwards, I rest a bit on the bench with the birds. Did some stretching while the birds feed on the grass. =..= I know. So weird!

You know what else I realised? There were more aunties and uncles, ah chi and ah cho and perhaps a handful of young people jogging and walking in the park that morning.

According to ahlost, if we were to go at 4-5am, they would be more aunties and uncles jogging and even get to witness some taichi act. Also, we can save our mp3 and handphone batteries by listening to their taichi or aerobic song played. Teehee.. That’d be fun. It’d be more fun if more of the gang joined the jog. So at least next week on our next jog, we won’t feel that the ah chi and ah cho ganged up on us. HOHO

For Project 365: Day 184 September 27, 2009

Me walking ahead of ahlost because something caught my attention and I ran forward a bit to capture it. Anyway, look at ahlost. She is either checking out on her car or checking out some good looking uncle.

Eventually, this placed the *evil grin* all over my face.

Ang ang boh hai lang. I’m not being mean! Those trousers are really really really attractive! It caught my eyes when the fella walked by. =X and he ran very fast for about 200m! Like super fast, like Sonic the Hedgehog with red trousers! or maybe he realised I took a picha of him and that I’m going to post it here? Okay, I’m sucha butthole afterall.

After all the walking, jogging, huffing and puffing, we went for the DIY foot reflexology. Joked with ahlost that, the next time Pazuzu invite us for the Borneo Foot Reflexology, we would come to the park for a free one.

Walking on the stones felt so good and relaxing. It’s like getting foot massage just by walking on the stones arranged based on their size from one end to the other. The starting starts with bigger stones then moving towards smaller stones. It’s relaxing but also painful at some point as some stones are pointy at the edge.

At this point, I had the urge to jump on the small stones just to get the max out of the pain – just for the fun out of it – BUT I have no balls (well, that’s the truth what). However, I did a small jump and kinda regret it for awhile.

The one thing I’m grateful during the jog was the weather. If it were to rain, I guess we would still be snuggling in bed and sleeping the morning away.

Of course, every jog ends with a great meal, breakfast. After a whole hour of sweating and maybe burned a bit of calories, we decided to have LAKSA at Chong Choon Cafe. What a great choice!! I always enjoy laksa for breakkie.

Laksa (with bigger prawns) @ RM4.50 - I ordered two bowls of laksa and told them the table number BUT NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT LAKSA SPECIAL! =..= or is it written on my forehead that I just had a run and I need bigger-prawns-therapy. The regular laksa is RM3.50 and of course with smaller prawns  that what is seen above. Nonetheless, the laksa was a great treat after a jog.

3 Layers Kopi C Peng @ RM1.80 and Iced Barley @ RM1.20 – I had two glasses of the kopi and ahlost had 2 glasses of barley, and wanted a third glass but unfortunately, they ran out of barley already. So, she had ice lemon. Definitely must try their 3 layers Kopi C Peng.

We had the Butter and Cheese @ RM2.20 and Cha Kueh @ RM2.50 (which I forgotten to take picha of) as side dishes.

Yea yea yea.. I know what you all want to say. After all the walking, running, huffing and puffing are wasted  effort after what we consumed for breakfast. lololololololol.. Well, at least we exercised and sweat!
