Malay Wedding Banquet
Last year, just few days before the new year, I attended a Malay wedding. It’s my second time attending a Malay wedding. I thought that the first Malay wedding I attended was considered very grand already, but the second one is 5 times more grand! Got air-cond somemore.

The Grand Malay Wedding @ Civic Centre
The family members personally designed and built the props on the stage! So terror, kan?!
The one vast difference between a Chinese and Malay wedding banquet is the food.

5 in 1
Every table comes with a tray of food. There are 5 dishes in each tray and the serving is estimated for 10 person. For big eaters like us, we need at least 2 trays. LOL!!

The famous Ayam Masak Merah
You never fail to taste ayam masak merah in any Malay wedding banquet, Hari Raya open house, and celebrations. It is like their favourite dish and signature dish. Personally, I don’t like it because it is not spicy. Hehehe..

Lamb Curry
My favourite among all the dishes they have is the Lamb Curry. It was everyone’s favourite. Have to scoop it fast otherwise, you end up having potatoes only.

Nasi Kuning
The fragrant spells “Dig in”. So like this rice. Reminds me of Sugarbun’s savoury rice with raisins in it. Too bad the current Sugarbun doesn’t serve yummy food like the old time.

Pineapple Chutney
This is delicious, although it looks so gelik. It’s grated fresh pineapple, cooked and chilled with raisins. It somewhat taste like my mum’s homemade pineapple jam.
***Remind me to share the pineapple jam recipe. It is so easy to make! It is so good with toasted bread and melted butter on it.***
Oh yea, we were all given a door gift but I forgotten to edit and upload. Another time then I show off lah.
