Krista Centurion Tang Lung Night 2009
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to all!!
Time for family reunion and glorious mooncakes eating!!

Located in Taman Woodland
Last Friday (September 25, 2009), I was at Krista Centurion for the Tang Lung Night 2009 – Big Reunion, in celebrating the Lantern Festival with the Krista families and also the community areas surrounding Stutong. I was excited and happy to join the celebration again since our first time, Krista Centurion Tang Lung Festival 2008 last year. Many thanks to Mr. John Koh for inviting and having us over the celebration again.

The night was organised by Krista Centurion and main sponsored by Pureen. Additionally, it was co-sponsored by Sushi King, Copal Digital Photo, Sung Hoe Trading Sdn Bhd, Penrissen Ingredients Center, Rose Brand, Business Card Centre, Xiao Le Yuan (Small Paradise), Raiya Gigi Fluorida, Diamond Water, Sundrop, Alpha Titan Sdn Bhd, Tina Balloons, QQ Aquatic, AMBank, Abbott, Ovaltine, Global Art, Chipsmore, and Impressive Planning Services.

Hand sanitizing
Upon entering, we got our hands sanitized by the friendly Red Cresent members. A way to prevent and avoid A(H1N1) and also a good practice.

Mr. John Koh
The evening started with an opening speech by Ms Vicky, the Principal of Krista Centurion. Then, followed by Mr. John speech, along with introduction of the evening’s programs and special promotions at the Krista Pasar Malam with various stalls by the co-sponsors.
The main objective of the celebration is not just to celebrate the Lantern festival, but also:
- to bless the community with not only food and freebies, but fun and joyous moment together
- to gather all Krista kids and parents (existing, past and future) and create opportunities of fellowship
- to strengthen family bond and relationship
- to enhance parental involvement in early childhood journey
My main objective was the food.
Krista Centurion Tang Lung Festival 2009
LOL!! JK! Well, as big as the reunion it is, it has a very strong family and friendship sense in it. Here, the food are prepared by parents of Krista – pot luck style. Everything is shared among everyone.

Food I gained from the food fight
Just jellies alone, there are about 7-8 types!!
After the BIG REUNION dinner with everyone ala buffet pot luck style, it was time for the traditional lantern walk. I’m pretty sure in many Chinese family, after the family reunion dinner, the kids would gather their lanterns and candles and for the lantern walk around the neighbourhood.

Lantern
I prefer the traditional lantern over the musical battery operated lantern. Well, that’s the fun about lanterns! You get to burn lanterns light candles and compete with others on the size of your lantern.
After all the kids and parents got back from the neighbourhood lantern walk, it was time for the family treasure hunt. The Krista staff threw 5,000 candies all over the playground. The kids went wild instantly!
Of course we joined in the fun. LOL!! We’re still kids you know..

Suddenly, I felt someone trying to hold my leg up! I turned my head and to my surprise, this little boy tried to move my foot away to get the candy. -______________-|||
The treasure hunt was fun and sweaty to the kids. But the fun did not end there. After the treasure hunt, it was the drum rolling session for the Best Pureen Family Photo Contest Prize Giving.
Congratulations to all Pureen winners!
Now, heading to the Krista Pasar Malam with various stalls hosted by the co-sponsors.
The pet stall by QQ Aquatic has the most audience! Kids and parents were admiring the pets.
Having pets is not just about buying an animal you life from a pet shop and display at home. It is more than that. You need to have responsibilities to keep pets. Be responsible to feed it, clean its place, play with it and etc.. Parents can nurture the sense of responsibility in their child by getting them a small pet which is easy to maintain.

Fighting Fish
Fighting fish is highly recommended as it is easy to keep. Just feed it everyday, wash it’s tank weekly. Look at it and poke the tank when you feel like it. =X I used to have a pair of fighting fishes, well, let’s not go there.

Hamsters
How about hamsters? They’re the third popular domestic pets after cats and dogs. One thing about keeping hamsters at home is that, if you don’t clean their “home” every 3 days, your home would stink like theirs.
Next to the pet stall was Sushi King. They were promoting the Sushi King membership. Most of us got our Sushi King card renewed @ RM20 (new membership @ RM20 as well). The Sushi King’s membership comes with 2 x RM10 cash vouchers, 2010 calender and Sushi King personalized souvenirs.

Renewed Sushi King Membership
One of the highlighted event that evening was Sushi Making Demonstration by Sushi King Japanese Chief Executive Chef Sakamakisan.
This year, we missed the mooncake demonstration by the Penrissen Ingredient Stall.
There were various types of mooncake displayed for tasting. The jelly mooncakes are sweet and yummy. In each goodie bag we got from Krista, there’s a packet of jelly powder and recipe from the Penrissen Ingredient for us to try out at home. According to the recipe, it seems that the jelly mooncakes are so easy to make! You can predict that in the future posts, there will be some jelly going around.
Feeling thirsty? There’s Diamond Water stall which serves free flow of water. I can feel my tummy blings. LOL
There’s also milk tasting by Pediasure.

And more from Sundrop and Ovaltine.

with Chipsmore mascott
We had to fight take turn with the kids to take picha with Chipsmore.
Another highlighted stall from the Krista Pasar Malam was the Copal Digital Photo. They were organizing free family photoshoot. The first picha developed is free, the second one is chargeable at RM10.

Free Family Photoshoot by Copal Digital
Well, of course we went for the photoshoot. We are the bloggers’ family. Hahaha.. But they didn’t print a copy for us, instead, the photographer used Pazuzu’s CF card to take picha. So, we can have a softcopy of our “Family” photo.

For Project 365: Day 182 September 25, 2009
Throughout the end of the evening, it is easily seen that the main objectives were met and it sure is a memorable evening.

Goodie bags from Mr. John, Krista Centurion
We didn’t go home with just a filled tummy, goodie bags and sweats, but also with the fun, laughters and memories we had with Krista Centurion. Many thanks to Mr. John and Krista for having us over to join in the festive celebration!
To sum up the evening full of fun, laughter, great time together and SWEET SWEATS, enjoy this compiled pichas of the 10 monkeys:
