The “Tang Lung” Festival or also known as Lantern Festival was organized by Krista Centurion. The festival was celebrated at Krista Centurion Kindy itself on 12th September, Friday evening. The festival was co-sponsored by Business Card Centre, Sung Hoe Trading Sdn Bhd, Multiplex Realty Sdn Bhd, Windward Outdoor Media Sdn Bhd, Pureen, Diamond Energy Water System, Raiya Ubat Gigi Fluorida and Penrissen Ingredients Center on 12th September 2008. Not forgetting the kindy students, parents, and neighbours for making the “tang lung” night so happening and successful.

Parents and children of the kindy and also neighbours were invited to join the event. It was a pot luck concept dinner. There were lots and lots and lots of food prepared by the parents. I tried my best to try everything on the table. So many varieties of foodies goodies.

As for the drinks, Diamond Water System provided the evening’s drinking water. After all the running and sweets, fresh water from Diamond is the most refreshing.

Before we could feast on the yummylicious foodie goodies, Mr John Kho, the marketing personnel of Krista Centurion, briefed everyone on the events for the evening. There were lantern walking in the neighbourhood, followed by treasure sweets hunting, and mooncake making demonstration.

After the speech, there were presentation of gifts of appreciation to the sponsors.

Here’s a family picture of Mr John Kho’s family:

His wife, Mrs Vicky Chua, the principal of Krista Centurion. Not only a principal, a wife and a mother of 2, she also won awards. Both their daughters, aged 10,Felicia and Lovinia.

The Love Notes made by the students. Their innocence and passion can be seen through the notes. It may be simple, but it has a lot of meaning in it. Even I was touched reading the notes.

Parents and children having fun during the Lantern festival. Kids running around with their lanterns, sharing what their lanterns can do (ie: musical lantern), taking pictures and having lotsa Fun.

Who needs time machine when you can still be a kid at a place like this? teehee..

Never too old to get rockin’!

Here, I got ignored by the kids. I wanted to take a picture with them. =/

By 8.15pm, parents and children were getting ready for the lantern walking, the kindy was quiet when they left.

When most of the parents and children were lantern walking, the event staffs started to throw sweets around the kindy compound. Lots and lots of sweets. The lots were 1500 sweets! That much!! So, yeah.. Hyperactive kids mode: ON

Once they got back from lantern walking, the sweets hunting began. Children running around grabbing as much sweets as they could. We, on the other hand, grabbed some sweets too. =X

The mooncake making demonstration began when everyone was back too.

Representatives of Penrisen Ingredients Centre, demonstrated a few recipes. One of them were the chicken frying without oil using the special wok. Also, there’s jelly mooncake. There’s also the baked mooncake demonstrated. There were copies of the recipes for grab. I took a set and hoping to try making them one day. The chicken frying without oil, perhaps when I get that wok.

We were welcomed with door gifts, and before leaving we were given a goodie bag each.

-door gifts-

The evening did not end just like that. We took a few group photos with Krista Centurion staffs before leaving.

There’s a lost girl in this picture. She’s actually the substitute teacher here. Hahaha.. That was a joke. Just a coincidence that I wore yellow shirt, quite similar to the teachers’ T-shirt. So, I joked that I was the substitute teacher here. Teehee… I can teach the children basic photoshop. I don’t think I would even qualify to be the substitute here. The teachers here are all well trained and they have to take exams from time to time. I guess that’s how they maintain the quality of the Krista education.

I wish that when I was young, I’d go to such a cool kindy. There’s computer and wifi, and even science lab! How cool is that? Registration for 2009 intake is currently open. Enroll your children now.

Last but not least,

-Not in the picture, Kenny and Sam-

Thanks again for having us over!
