Hennessy Artistry of 2012 @ Straits Quay Convention Centre, Penang

Two weekends ago, I was in Penang with several other bloggers from KL for the first Hennessy Artistry Party of 2012! It was a 24 hours trip in Penang. We flew in to Penang on Saturday morning, and flew out the next day. This time round, I get to visit and experience the different side of Penang (which I normally indulge and stuff myself with loads of Char Kueh Teow and other Penang street food).

Traveled via MAS and the flight took approximately 50 minutes! So fast!

As soon as we arrived Penang, we were transported to Straits Quay for lunch and then for the Meet & Greet Session.

This is where we spent most of our time in Penang. I love the place. The architecture, the shops, the food and the party on the night itself :3

There were bazaar inside and I’m not sure whether they have it everyday/weekends or just that weekend we were there. Lotsa goodies displayed such as dress, accessories, toys, BALLOONS and etc!

Had our lunch at Blue Reef Fish & Chips. Great food (see what we ate here).

After lunch, we headed to Straits Quay Convention Centre where the “Meet & Greet” session was held.

We were among the first few to see, feel and be at the convention centre before it was opened to the public at night

While waiting for the arrival of the artists, we explored the lounge and we were served early with drinks *wink*

 

Out of the 4 flavours, I like apple and berry most :3 Sweet and easy drinking *hik*

When we saw Hennessy 360 cam, we got very excited as this is one of the highlight of the event and one of the most addictive one if you’re a camwhore like us *lalalalallaa*

There’s also free WIFI

After the meet and greet session, we went to check-in to G Hotel. The hotel we were accommodated for the night.

So nice can?!

Had no time to enjoy the hotel facilities. *rush hour* I quickly unpacked, showered and dressed up for the evening.

For dinner, we had a great treat at Hisago, a Japananese restaurant.

Immediately after dinner, we head over to the Convention Centre and got ourselves registered.

While waiting for the party hall to open, we chilled at the waiting lounge.

We were given a table and a bottle of Hennessy with mixtures (which later that night, the empty bottle was changed to a new bottle). Party like a baaaaaaaus!

We had a very strategic location. A table just beside the stage How awesome is that? Teehee..

The party was hosted by gorgeous VJ Holly and handsome VJ Rich. *wipes saliva*

Both are charismatic and so good looking wei..

The night kicked off with DJ Ramsey Westwood being the first one to spin the night away!

All his mixes were awesome! It’s a pity that he started off to early, otherwise, with the booze kicking in, everyone would be grooving the night away~ *sways body*

The second performance was by Suki Low.

Love her voice! She did a few cover songs and they were all awesome. She’s talented lo

Then came the Taiwan Mandopop which got the girls crazy, most girls.

I was standing this close with them. They were good. Dancing and singing at the same time. They did some moves which were really cool:

 

 

 

The remaining night was taken over by DJ Andy Moor and DJ Ernest C:

From now and then, we moved out of the “S” zone and mingled with the crowd. Penang peeps can party! They party hard, drink hard and fall hard (that’s another story)!

The things I love about these crowds:

• They’re friendly, such a sport to be taken picha and taken picha with.
• Drinks AWESOME LOADS!
• Great dancers. Some were showing off some cool dance moves (not the kind you find from the “How to dance in club”
• Great memories

And of course, we had our addiction fulfilled at Hennessy 360 Cam. Some were taken before entering the party hall, but I decided to put it at the end of the post because the best is to be savoured at the end

I’m very impressed with Hennessy 360 Cam in Penang as they’ve improvised it A LOT from the first time we got on it at the new design bottle launch. They added monitor, so that we can know when to get ready and hold our poses. Plus, they even have QR code for you to scan when you see your 360 picha on the screen. So, once the video is uploaded on Facebook, it will automatically tag you and update you about it. UBER COOL!

This is by far the best party I’ve attended and many thanks to Hennessy Artistry for the great hospitality!
