Hakata Ippudo Ramen @ The Gardens Mall, KL

Last month end was the official opening of IPPUDO’s second outlet in Malaysia. The new outlet is located at the 3rd floor in The Gardens Mall. The very first outlet is at Level 4 in Pavilion. If you have been dining in the Pavilion outlet, you would notice the similarities as well as the differences on the interiors of the two outlets.

On the inside, you will notice 3 same comics on the wall with 3 different languages. The comic is about how to enjoy Ramen.

Condiments such as chili powder, pepper, sesame seeds and fresh garlic are served to go with the ramen. This gives us the option to add in more flavours up to our preference in our ramen.

An ice cold Sapporo beer, Japanese premium beer to go with our meal.

Buta Karaage

One of my favourite side dish in IPPUDO is their Buta Karaage. Crispy deep-fried pork loin while tender on the inside is best eaten with lemon juice drizzled over them and special sauce.

Goma Q

Goma Q is fresh Japanese cucumber served with sesame dressing. It’s crunchy and refreshing.

Curry Cheese Haru Maki

Deep fried curry and cheese spring rolls. Love this!

Pork Bun

Japanese Burger! Steamed bun with braised pork and Ippudo’s original sauce. The braised pork is soft and tender and it is just so delicious. If not for the ramen that’s coming, I won’t mind having a second or third for this 🙂

Ippudo Veggie Noodle

This is something new in the menu, Ippudo Veggie Noodle. It is served cold and great for sharing. Made with Ippudo’s classic silky noodles tossed with Ippudo’s original sauce and served with an assortment of greens. Crisp and refreshing with a combination of light and balanced texture.

Shiromaru Motoaji

Shiromaru Motoaji is a classic Hakata-style ramen. With the option of hard, medium or soft for the doneness of the ultra-thin noodles, Bok opted for hard. Served in Ippudo’s Original tonkotsu broth served with pork loin, bean sprouts, kikurage and spring onions.

Tender yet succulent pork loin

Karaka-men

I always like my ramen hot and spicy so I ordered the Karaka-men. My ramen came served in Ippudo’s original tonkotsu broth with special spicy miso, cashew nuts and pork.

I love the tender and fatty pork I have in my bowl. Too bad they only serve 2 slices.
