Last week when I went to fetch my brother from tuition at Sri Sarjana, Haji Taha, I saw something remarkable. The ‘mamak burger stall‘ has evolved from a stall to a shop! Soon, it’s going to be a famous fast food chain (you’ll never know, it could happen). As how Sugarbun made its name. It started off by a young man who sells ice cream bun and then it became popular fast food chain called Sugarbun and Apple Bee. Due to his health, he sold off his business few years ago and Sugarbun ain’t Sugarbun anymore. It became horror! You see ikan panggang and nasi lemak sold in Sugarbun!! The old time favourite Lime Slush, Milk Shake and ice cream doesn’t exists anymore and the Fish Fillet, Beef Burger and Chicken Burger doesn’t tastes the way they used to. Rumours: when the buyer bought over the business, they didn’t buy the recipes. Smart huh? Today, you say go Sugarbun, I’ll rather stay home eat Maggi Mee.
It used to be a burger stall in front of the stationery shop and now it’s in the stationery shop.
I guess they only take half of the shop only because there weren’t any space to sit inside, you are to be seated outside the shop.
