Yesterday, I attended the celebration of Grand Margherita Hotel & Riverside Majestic Hotel’s Makeover at Prince Hotel, KL with Chris Tock and Tian Chad.

The celebration began with a speech by YB Datuk Haji Talib Zulpilip, Assistant Minister of Tourism, Sarawak & Chairman of SEDC Sarawak.

YB gave a very enlightening speech introducing what Sarawak has to offer apart from staying in our own local home brand hotels, how friendly Sarawakians are, etc..

After YB’s speech, the other VIPs joined the YB on stage to launch the “Makeover” of both hotels, featuring a video about Sarawak and hotels in depth.

About the makeover:

Both Kuching hotels were under renovation from August 2009 till December 2009 for Grand Margherita Hotel and January 2010 till June 2010 for Riverside Majestic Hotel.

When the video finishes, VIPs and guests were invited to the next room for refreshments. When it comes to food, hurhurhur.. Of course you’ll see me walking around with camera in hand and taking pichas of food while other guests looked at me with ??? on their head. T________T
