Hola! I’m one Mexican food lovers! I love all the colourful, flavourful and HOT (Spicy Hot) Mexican cuisine has to offer. Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar, a newly opened Mexican restaurant at The Gardens Mall serves a great variety of authentic Mexican food and drinks. Fresca is situated near the Gardens Mall entrance.
FRESCA (meaning “fresh” or “cool” in Spanish, the official language of Mexico) brings classic Mexican cuisine to Kuala Lumpur. The idea came about by two adventure-seeking sisters who fell in love with Mexican food and the country’s passion for La Vida.
FRESCA specialises in “botanas” – small plates, easy for sharing amongst friends and family. They use only the freshest of ingredients – pico de gallo (tomato salsa) and guacamole are prepared daily; our corn tortillas are home-made and hand-pressed the traditional way. Specially imported Mexican chiles (guajillo, ancho, chipotle, jalapeno, poblano, pasilla) give a unique range of flavours to their food.

Fresca offers a great selection of drinks, from hot beverages to liquor (Coffee, Tea and Chocolate, Fresh Juices, Soft Drinks, Aqua Fresca, Cerveza (Beers), Margaritas and Sangria, Fresca Creations, Tequila and other spirits).

Colorful cocktails
When it comes to cocktail, I’m quite particular about them and also picky in their QC and contents. Love Fresca’s range of Margaritas. They serve one the best Margarita I’ve tasted so far *thumbs up*. I’m a classic Margarita person, and I’m now their new fan for Jalapeno Margarita *wink*

Classic Margarita on the rocks @ RM23

Jalapeno Margarita on the rocks @ RM23
Margarita is simple cocktail made of Tequila (Jose Cuervo Reposado), Triple Sec (Cointreau) and fresh lime juice and served on the rocks or frozen. There are 6 flavours to choose from: Classic, Mango, Raspberry, Kiwi, Watermelon and Jalapeno.
If you’re adventurous and seek to try something new and different, get Jalapeno Margarita. The right way to drink this is to take a bite of Jalapeno and sips the margarita and let the flavours blend in your mouth. Love this! The Jalapeno is not spicy for me and just the right heat for me :3

Electric Blue Margarita @RM23
Yet another Margarita which I enjoyed, Electric Blue Margarita served on the rocks (front) and frozen (back). This blue color cocktail is a mixture of Tequila Reserva 1800 Anejo (100% agave, aged for over a year), Blue Curacao (that’s where the blue color comes out not from colorings), and fresh lime juice.

Sangria @ RM23
Sangria is a refreshing red wine cooler made with overnight-marinated fruits, cognac and cointreau. It’s like fruit punch served in red wine. Not my favourite drink as I enjoy red wine as it is.
From the drinks menu, there’s a column on Fresca Creation where you’ll find 12 interesting cocktail names. These cocktails are ones which you can only find and taste in Fresca.

Lychee Lemongrass Libation @ RM26
Lychee Lemongrass Libation is a refreshing and fruity lychee cocktail with a tinge of lemongrass taste is made of gin, fresh lime, muddled lychee and lemongrass.

Kiwi Lychee Siesta @ RM26
Another Lychee flavoured cocktail, Kiwi Lychee Siesta is a mixture of vodka, lychee liquor, muddled kiwi and lychee.

Tiramisu e Giu @ RM26
Tiramisu e Giu means “Take Me Up and Down”. Ya, that’s exactly what is stated on the menu. This cocktail’s presentation does give the impression of a Tiramisu – the cake, and somewhat tastes like one too, except in liquid form made of whisky, kahlua, hazelnut, milk and choco sprinkle.

Incognito in Mexico @ RM26
Incognito in Mexico is a tequila based cocktail mixed with beer, cranberry juice and orange juice.

Midnight flight to Mexico @ RM26
Midnight flight to Mexico reminds me of Christmas as when you pick up the glass, the first thing you smell is the fragrantful cinnamon. LOL.. This awesome cocktail is made of amaretto, fresh lime and of course, Cinnamon.

Fresca also serves a range of imported beer such as this German beer, Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier. Any German beer also I like. :3
When it comes to food, Mexican knows their spices and ingredients the best!

Nachos Grande @ RM27
Nachos Grande - Tortilla chips topped with refried bean, jack cheese, ground beef, jalapeno, guacamole and sour cream, is an excellent starter or as snacks with drinks, great for sharing for 3 -4 persons.

Guacamole with chips @ RM20

Jalapeno Poppers @ RM16
Jalapeno Poppers is my favourite among all! Love the spicy breadcrumb-coated Jalapeno Chiles stuffed with awesome load of Monterey Jack cheese and minced beef. <3<3<3

The Jalapeno Poppers are eaten with this special mango dressing which acts to cool down your tastebud when the jalapeno hits your tongue! Awesome combo.

Tacos Ensanada @ RM19
Tacos Ensanada – Beer battered fish and homemade coleslaw folded in flour tortillas.

Sopa de Fideo @ RM15

Carne Asada a la Tampiqunea – Grilled tenderloin in the Mexican way with onions, Mexican red rice, enchiladas and refried beans. This is one wholesome meal :3

Pescado Mojo de Ajo @ RM42
Pescado Mojo de Ajo – The lightly panfried fish in a fragrant butter sauce, served with chunky pieces of roasted garlic, Mexican white rice and mixed salad. The Mexican white rice as you can see has corn in it. It is said the Mexican’s staple food consist of corn, beans and rice.

Costilla Asada @ RM43
Costilla Asada – This delicious succulent shortribs made in a homemade sauce and later slow-braised for more than 3 hours is simply awesome and the meat is so tender, you can simply peel them off-the-bone with 1 muscle. XD

Just so Yums, I can’t leave the bone unlicked.
And of course, to end our meal with yummy desserts:
