Although I sing like a frog, I do enjoy singing at the karaoke centre, provided, I sing in a private room. There’s this new Karaoke centre in town, KBOX 11. I don’t know how the inside is like, I only know that it has a nice wallpaper outside the store and it is haolien.

We were so excited to go in. It’s been awhile since any of us had karaoke session and going together would be lotsa fun.

Well, why the disappointed faces?

We walked in happily and asked for a room. The girl by the counter asked how many people for a room. We told them 3 and were told that there were no more small rooms to occupy us in a very “beh song” manner. What the heck man!! Is it wrong to have a room just for 3???

So, with broken heart, we walked out and sat by the big poster to think of the next station.

That night, we end up in Pullman Kuching.

Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang @ RM7.20

Regular nasi lemak is RM3.80, with chicken is RM6.80 and an extra 40 cents will get yourself a beef rendang to go with your nasi lemak. The beef rendang is delicious. Absolutely love their rendang. The nasi lemak is just ok.

They’ve installed flat screen TVs in the food bazaar and there’s lots of movies previewed on it. Simply because,

MBO is here in Kuching. Finally, the cinema is opening, babeh!! Can’t wait till August 19th!

Grand Preview of the Spring's 2nd Floor

Everyone has been talking about the new cinema. Even the Spring is excited about it. There are posters about the Grand Preview at every wing. Also, stated on it are “Exciting New Tenants”. Hey hey..  More new outlets to look out for. Huehuehue..

Instead of heading towards Ta Kiong, we made a detour to 2nd floor. Upon reaching the escalator to the next level, I saw this:

Oh yeah oh yeahhhh!! Can’t wait!! Oh man.. I can foresee that this year’s Christmas shopping is going to be crazy! Must save up for shopping. More new outlets opening, more money to spend.

When we turned to the escalator, Dang! GG dot com. It’s “yellowsied”. Guess, we have to be patient and wait till August 19, 2009 for the Grand Preview.

So, our next movie night out will be at MBO, right right right? G.I. JOE or Horror Movie?

100 Yen Store

Mum said that the store is just like any ordinary “China” product stores like 100% discount store or One Stop Discount store. =X simply because the things displayed inside are mostly kitchen plastic wares. Had to agree with her on that. =X

Everything at RM4.90 each

Everything inside is Japanese products and sold at one fixed price, RM4.90. I took a quick tour inside and didn’t find anything much that would be interesting enough to buy. Furthermore, some of the items seem to be pretty expensive at RM4.90.

Reluctant to leave the store empty handed, I bought myself a can of Jap Mountain Dew. Man.. It’s been ages since I last seen Mountain Dew in Kuching. Teehee..

Overall, there’s nothing much interesting stuff to buy apart from its Japanese utilities, food and crackers. We were told that there will be more stuff coming in on the 29th (which is tomorrow). Will drop by to check out the store again next week.

The Moo MiniCards are half the width of the normal business card and a business card holder can’t hold them neatly. They tend to dance around in there and it’s a pretty embarrassing sight when you opened to exchange cards with others.

At first, I just place some in my purse. That was inconvenient as I need to open my purse (then people will look inside my purse and dumbfounded with my platinums and gold – which are bullshit exaggerations).

So and therefore, I decided to get Moo’s MiniCards holder USD4.99 only. There are a few colors to choose from and I chose white because it looks good on me. LOOOOL

After the ZOMG-long wait, I finally received the package from Moo.

It started to jam at the 3rd mile flyover and we didn’t know how bad the jam would get and if we were cycling, we could get there within seconds. Jimmy parked his car at the 3rd Exchange and we walked across the road towards Boulevard. We were faster than cars! Miaahahhaahahahaha…

See how horrible terrible vegetable the jam is.. tsk tsk tsk…

First thing we saw when we’re near Boulevard. This is going towards the parking. If you don’t want to park inside Boulevard, there are also some other alternatives:

You can also park by the roadside and help close a lane for the traffic. That would very much help the traffic to jam. Smart parkers!

When we got inside, the household departmental store was on our left and the hypermarket on our right. For the opening, there were Maggi, Nestle and Boh giving free drinks/food for sampling and at the same time make sales.

Why hesitate to grab one? It’s free after all. Miahahaahahhaaha..

You can get your own caricature by En. Saiful when you purchase in the hypermarket at some certain amount.

Koko Crunch, Yoco and Chipsmore mascots. We were able to take pictures with Koko Crunch and Yoco except for Chipsmore. If you’d like to take picture with Chipsmore, you need to buy 3 packets of Chipsmore!

When you’re inside, you’re in a total different world. The world where you never get out empty handed!! Here, you can see the size of this mall! The interior is simple and WHITE! The inside is HUGE!! Biggest MALL in Kuching.

We (Angel, Uncle Jong, Irene, Jimmy and I) met up with Allen in the mall to start our venture.

Also met up with Angel, Yomi and Jon while exploring the mall.

We went to the TOILET for *ahem* inspection. Clean (for now) and spacious.

Okay.. That’s all for now. If you’d like to know more on Boulevard, go visit the place and experience it yourself. For now, the mall is not fully accommodated yet as there were some shops still under renovation! Hope to see more goodies from them.

Kuching has one of the best kuih in the world, the Onde-Onde also known as Kuih Momok by Shyang. He even drew a comic character, Momok, inspired by the kuih.

Few days ago, I saw a similar Momok in a supermarket. It’s Momok crackers. Gosh!

I wonder how it taste like. I didn’t buy it and now I’m so curious to know how it looks and tasted like. Maybe one day, I’ll go back to the supermarket to get it. By the way, it’s RM1.20 per packet.

Meanwhile, why don’t you guys hop over to EnjoyingBoredom. There are some comic strips by Shyang and if you want more of them, you can buy his comic book (I have a dream) online. I’ve bought one and I enjoyed it very much. Pretty much portrays Kuching Life!

Today, you can buy the Teh C Peng Special’s sugar syrup at any supermarket. A bottle of it would costs up to RM9.50.

I think one bottle of this can make up to 20 glasses or more of Teh C Peng Special.

Saw it at 100% Discount Store, Ang Cheng Ho road. Selling at RM9.90. I didn’t buy it because it’s Strawberry flavour. I don’t like fake strawberry flavourings. Yerks.. I like fresh Strawberries.. Yeah Yeah.. I heard that strawberries in Australia are cheap. *Hinting Si Ehon* xDD

Yesterday was M10 Commercial Centre Official Opening. Congrats Gong Xi Gong Xi, Ku Chang!

Ten One is located at 10th Mile. The official opening was very happening orh.. There were so millions of colourful BALLOONS!! So many of them! Got lion dance somemore. This is for good luck and prosperity to the business and also to Meriahkan the event.
