I’ve been hanging out a lot in different places recently. Caffe Cino is one of them – been here quite frequently too. I really love this place. Not only because it’s in a 5 stars hotel with 5 stars toilet, but it is a great place to hang out and just to chill. It is not just a place to chit chat and catch up with old friends, but also a place for professional meet ups.
Caffe Cino’s business hours: 7.00am – 1.00am Daily
The cafe is located in the hotel lobby. You get to “cuci mata” (wash eyes – checking out hunks/babes/sometimes ahkua). If you’re here at night, enjoy listening to the A3M performances, although you’re not sitting inside Senso (next to Caffe Cino), through the speakers of course.
Like any cafes out there, Caffe Cino has Wifi and free too. At every purchase, you will get a coupon with the network key/password for the wifi connection.
All their cakes here are chilled cakes (unbaked cakes, chilled in the fridge). The cakes are very rich, creamy and moist. Love the tiramisu and chocolate truffle very much.
The tiramisu here is very rich and creamy, unlike other bakery’s tiramisu, all you eat is thick layers of sponge cake and thin layers of tad cream cheese. tsk.. Caffe Cino’s tiramisu is definitely for the win.
This is my first attempt trying the Fruit and Nut Cheese Cake. At one glance you’d think that this cake is soury sweet, but you’re wrong. It’s sweetness from fruit and chewiness from the nuts, the cheese is not too overloaded rich and the texture is smooth and jellyish.
The chocolate truffle is very very rich in chocolate and if you think the bottom layer is NOT cookie crust, it’s sponge cake and it’s very soft and puffy. The crispy rocher sitting on top of the cake is winning the extra.
Apart from cakes, they have their own homemade chocolates.
It’s sugar free because they are non sugar added. Not sure if they’re suitable for diabetes patience. Although it’s sugar free, it’s sweet and chocolatish! As expected from Hilton, they tasted fabulouslyfantastic/fantasticallyfabulous!
Drinks, cakes and sandwiches pricing and portion are pretty similar with the cafes out there. THEY EVEN HAVE ICE BLENDED MADAGASCAR PURE VANILLA *I like to move it move it* All the more reasons to chill in a five stars.
For all ice blended and coffee lovers out there, be sure to try these drinks of the month:
At the bottom of the drinks, there are coffee jelly. You know like those pearl milk tea with black pearls, or konyakku jelly. The coffee jelly is somewhat like them, but coffee flavored jelly.
Topped with generous amount of whipped cream and cocoa powder/chocolate syrup.
If you’re more of a tea person, have tea here. The teas here are all imported and there are Dilmah tea – known for its fresh and finest tea.
There are a varieties of Dilmah tea. I tried the Sencha Green Extra Special Tea. It is indeed extra special. I’m not much of a tea person, more of a coffee person, but I thought of trying out their tea variations. I feel relaxed and cleansed after drinking the tea.
Yes, you can always ask for refill of hot water for your tea. One pot of tea can last you a whole night.
Another type of tea worth recommended is this White Litchee Handrolled Tea. The handrolled tea is soaked in boiled water in the mug, then poured into the bowl for drinking.

Hot Chocolate @ RM9.00
If you prefer the regular, go for the Hot Chocolate. To drink, stir the chocolate rolls in the hot milk. The chocolates will melt in the hot milk and voila, there’s your hot chocolate.
It is here too, you can grab a bite of tasty snacks like panini, bagels, sandwiches and even salad, or try out their new menu, Oodles of Noodles – a range of noodles from Sarawak to Singapore to Johor to Malacca to Penang to Thailand and to Vietnam.
The beef fillet panini consists of sliced roasted beef with crispy lettuce, juicy thin sliced tomatoes, CHEESE and pepper slaw? I like this. It’s very tasty and the MEAT! gosh.. Sedap.
The Mediterranean bagel is very unique. Inside the bagel are Mediterranean marinated chicken breast with roasted vegetables and aubergine marmelade. Roasted vegetables! Love the taste. Anything roasted is nice to me. I very like the capsicum in it. See the green thing next to the red capsicum? That’s aubergine (also known as eggplant). I don’t eat eggplant and surprisingly, this tastes real good as bagel.
All the paninis and bagels are served with salsa salad, tortilla chips and wasabi dressing. The wasabi dressing (wasabi and mayo) is our favourite! Especially if you’re a wasabi fan.
After tasting the panini and bagel, I’m so full already and I wasn’t feeling well, so, thanks to my appetite, I didn’t get to enjoy the sandwiches…
A – Grilled vegetable decker and tomato pesto sandwich
B – Chicken with vegetables slaw and sesame mayo sandwich
C – Tuna Sandwich – Foccacia bread with tuna, black olive pesto and roast peppers
D – Close up of Tuna Sandwich – Feels like having a bite of it now. LoL
Sandwiches are served with salsa salad, tortilla chips and vegetable slaw (shredded raw vegetables).
