Brunch @ Marmalade Cafe, Publika

Over the weekend, I went for a massage which comes with Guasa. The next day, I was feeling under the weather and I had aches all over my body. When Louise and Caryn asked about brunch, I decided to join them since it’s near my place. We went to Marmalade Cafe in Publika. Took us sometime to find the cafe as it was actually located outside the shopping gallery and directly opposite Namoo on the park. Ishk.

Green Punch @ RM11

I had the Green Punch which is a combination of celery, carrot, apple and mint. It was refreshing but expensive as I usually make my own juice at home, so I kinda know what these ingredients cost. Nonetheless, the juice was a good liquid booster as it was the first liquid I consumed that very day.

Meet one of my brunch date, Louise. This girl was out drinking till wee hours in the morning but looked more energetic than me. I am aging.

Avocado Salad @ RM21

The Avocado Salad consists of mixed lettuce, poached chicken cubes, peppers, raisins, walnuts, avocados, tomatoes, and cheese crisp with zesty mustard dressing. I like the cheese crisp that is great to snack along the salad. Simply love the salad for its soft and creamy avocado that comes with a crunch of capsicums and nuts.

Anything captured in Samsung Galaxy Note 3 looks so good eh.

Spaghetti Pesto @ RM23

Caryn had the Spaghetti Pesto which comes with grilled chicken, sliced olives, cherry tomatoes and cheese crisp. Looks good but it was under seasoned that she had to request for salt.

Spaghetti Aglio Olio @ RM24 (with prawns)

I had the Spaghetti Aglio Olio with the choice of prawns. The spaghetti didn’t disappoint. Well seasoned and tossed with chilli, cherry tomatoes, sundried tomatoes and fresh prawns. And broccoli by the side. Added a few dash of Tabasco sauce to perfect this dish.

Salmon Laksa @ RM23

Louise on the other hand ordered this fusion local delight of Salmon Laksa. It looked like any ordinary curry laksa but ingredients are slightly different.

The Salmon Laksa uses udon and served with salmon, pumpkin, bean curd puffs and topped with alfalfa sprouts. The taste is ordinary and nothing much to shout about except that it has salmon in the laksa.
