Party and play darts for a good cause. Earlier this month, I attended a charity event at iDarts Trinity in Jaya One. The theme of the event was Back to School with Deborah Henry in aid of the Fugee School and in collaboration with iDarts Trinity.
This is Deborah Henry, the Malaysian beauty pageant title holder who was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2011 & Miss Malaysia World 2007. Deborah Henry is one of the co-founders of Fugee School, a non-profit charity organisation that provides basic education to 120 (or more) Somalian refugee children.
Fugee School is an education hub for refugee kids in Malaysia. There are currently 120 (or more) refugee children between the ages of 4 and 25 in the school. The school provides them lessons in core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Art, Computing skills and Somali (their native language). It is in Fugee School’s mission to empower the minds of refugee children with education which will one day allow them to make decisions for themselves and have the right to a bright future – a privilege all children should have.
Tickets were sold at RM158 and all the proceeds are contributed to Fugee School and the money will be used to educate the children. We had free flow of drinks and dart games.
There’s always a chance where we get to play a part in changing the lives of those less fortunate than us. i Darts Trinity strongly believe in giving back and to those who attended this charity event not only get to contribute but also have fun at the same time.
Play a part in changing the lives of those less fortunate than you.
