After a long, hectic and tiring day at work or perhaps shopping, it does pay off to just sit back, relax and chill with a glass of ice cold beer or cocktail in hand. Or perhaps both at the same time. Thanks to The Eatertainment Company for the treat. Really needed all the pampering of good drinks, great food and awesome companions.
Just got to know that Al-Amar Express has recently upgraded their bar. Do check out their latest Happy Hour promotion on their Facebook page. If you enjoy chilling outdoor and watching people, smoking premium shishas, This is the place for you. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s cool and windy even on the outdoor, especially if you’re having an ice cold drink. If you enjoy smoking shishas, this is a plus for you. Al-Amar Express has it all, be it drinks (alcohol or non-alcohol, quick bites and premium shishas). Shishas are priced at RM38 and there are 7 flavours to choose from.
Al-Amar Express is a casual dining Lebanese eatery located right in the centre of the Golden Triangle, the ground floor of Fahrenheit88 along the Bukit Bintang walk.
The menu consists of a combination of Lebanese wraps, healthy sandwiches, chawarmas, salads and Manakeesh (Lebanese pizzas). Al-Amar Express is also open for breakfast and serves a wide array of Lebanese pastries offering diners an alternative to the usual western or continental options. Prices start from RM 8 – RM 25 per dish.
Well, of course we didn’t drink with an empty stomach. The generous people at Al-Amar makes sure we fill up our tummy with their Lebanese specialties before drowning ourselves with their excellent cocktails.
These are just starters before heading to Circus for the real deal. Then again, this alone already filled us up pretty much. As much as I would like to control myself from eating too much, I just can’t help stretching my arms over the table to grab more of these delicious finger food!
Perfect as finger food or a meal on its own (stares at the menu). Sandwich of lamb and beetroot, drizzled with mustard and special sauce. A mouthful treat.
Loving this yogurt dressing salad served in cucumber cylinder. Very appetizing and refreshing.
Delicious mashed chickpeas eaten with mini breadsticks.
A classic cocktail made of Rum, soda water, brown sugar, mint leaves and lime wedges. It tastes like fresh lime juice with a hint of mint and a mild kick of alcohol.
My all time favourite cocktail, Classic Margarita. A mixture of tequila, triple sec and fresh lime juice. They don’t only make the drink look pretty but also taste excellent. Yums!
Another easy drinking cocktail which is similar to Mojito. Made of Cachaca which is something like our Sarawakian tuak (fresh sugarcane juice which is fermented), lime wedges and brown sugar. Here, they add in some mint leaves to give that extra refreshing taste.
Al-Amar Express also serves up a hearty breakfast Buffet at RM25++ and launched its “Let’s Meet Up” campaign to establish the venue’s suitability for people to get together on any occasions, at any time of the day. Sounds like a good deal. Anyone up to join me for breakfast/brunch here? Let’s meet and talk
