Kaya and Toast in Satok
Today, there are four Kaya & Toast outlets in Kuching. The first, second and third branch are at Third Mile, Tabuan Jaya and Petanak. The new fourth outlet is in Satok.

The interior designs and wallpaper are the same as the other Kaya & Toast outlets. Before you enter into Kaya & Toast, there will be a handsome man posing at the menu stand to Welcome you.

Unker so bergaya lei..
Now now, leave the handsome man alone. Let’s get some drinks first.

- Iced Milo Dinosaur - No, you don’t get Dinosaur in your drink. The dinosaur here is the generous amount of Milo powder at the top of the Iced Milo. I remember when we (cousins) were young, we don’t have any junk food around our Grand’s house. The only thing we had were Milo and we entertain ourselves by scooping the Milo powder into our watery mouth directly from the can. Huehuehue.. Of course our grandma spank us when she saw us doing that!
- Iced Mocha Latte - Milky chocolate and coffee flavour. Lovely color on the layers.
- Iced Plum Juice - Quench your thirst with this sweet and sour drink.
- Orange Juice - Juicy drink for a juicy day.
Kaya & Toast introduced two new dishes along with the opening of their new outlet

The Kaya & Toast Lunch Blockbuster

The Nasi Lemak Special is special indeed, unlike the ordinary nasi lemak we normally have, plain rice with sambal, peanuts and ikan bilis (anchovies). Here, they serve the nasi lemak along with Papadham (Indian crackers), honey roasted/grilled chicken, sunny side up (egg) and pickles. The sambal is quite spicy.

The Tuna Sandwich is very delicious. With the crispy bread on the outside and soft delicious tuna mayo on the inside along with crispy lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Arhhh.. Now, I’m craving for one! It’s certainly a great sandwich and best as light snack PLUS it’s healthy. The bread they use here is of premium standard and their tuna is one of the best in the country.

The Chai Kueh (Vegetable Cake) is one of Kaya & Toast signature dish. It comes in two. To make sure that their food is fresh at all times, the Chai Kueh is not to be kept till very late afternoon as it will you know, turn bad. So, you might not get them if you go too late in the afternoon. Why not wake up early and grab it on your way to work/school. They are best in the mornings.

Curry and Toast is one of my favourite here. I like their curry. It’s thick and Currylicious! Their bread is very soft and goes very well with the curry.

For those who prefer rice, you can try their Curry Rice.
Here in Kaya & Toast, the food are fresh and there are no leftovers serve for tomorrow.
Here’s the location map of the new outlet. I designed it using my so-called-okay-okay photoshop skills:

If you go over during weekends (due to the “hotness” at Sunday Market), you can avoid the jam by driving to ING Insurance. Drive to the back and you’ll be able to see Kaya & Toast sign board, as it’s “umbrella” pops out very obviously.
It’s a strategic spot for the new outlet. All the best to Kaya & Toast and I look forward to dine in there again.
Now, anyone care to join me for some Toast?

OMG! The “hansum” man’s gonna frighten away all the customers lah!
